Esfahan Providince

Esfahan

(Provincal Capital)

(Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque)

The city of Esfahan, including its outskirts, is one of the largest towns in the world. The Persians say, to describe its size: "Esfahan nesfe Jahan, i.e.: Eshahan is half of the world. The monuments of Esfahan rank among the very rare works of which one can say that the more you behold them the more they suprise and fascinate you.

Kashan

(Borujerdi's House)

Kashan is the first of the large oasis along the Qom - Kerman road which runs along the edge of the Great Desert. Its charm is therefore mainly due to the contrast between the parched immensities of the Kavir region and the greenery of the well tended oasis, to the lively atmosphere of thisalmost complusory halt, the restful shade of cupola or vault covered houses and the coolness of gardens made even more pleasant by their water fountains.
